  24.   This is another PLIP device driver. PLIP means Parallel Line Internet
  25.   Protocol. Originally based upon the plip.device released by Oliver
  26.   Wagner and Michael Balzer, this version has been completely rewritten.

  28.   The main distinguishing features to the original version include

  30.    * Much more line security through machine independent timeout handling
  31.  
  32.    * Option to omit CRC checks
  33.  
  34.    * MTU 256 Bytes to 128KBytes

  36.    * SANA-II special statistic counters

  38.    * Much better configurable, especially with regard to slow systems
  39.  
  40.    * Major code cleanup, including the removal of assembler fragments,
  41.      globals, errors

  43.    * Several protocol stacks may use magPLIP simultaneously
